On the way to work this morning, the power steering in my car went out.  I drove to my mechanic and told him what had happened.  He told me that he thought the power steering on the car was subject to recall.   He checked a website and learned that the power steering was not subject to recall, but that there were three outstanding recalls on my car including the brake system and drivetrain.  I had no idea and feel sure that I have not received any notification of the recall from the manufacturer.  Is your car subject to recall?  If so, you can usually have the repair performed at the dealer at no expense.  Check here to find out if your car is subject to recall.
