Ohio State Football Player Suicide Appears to be Linked to Concussions

The Washington Post and other outlets are reporting that the suicide of player Kosta Karageorge appears to have been related to brain injuries he suffered while playing football. Following a concussion, Karageorge reporting feeling:
“Just, like, confusion, disorientation, being unable to focus, mood swings — not feeling like himself, basically, not feeling quite right.”
Traumatic brain injury may result in symptoms like confusion, depression, difficulty with thought and personality changes.
Anyone who suffers a traumatic brain injury, commonly known as a concusision, must be sure to take it seriously and seek the necessary treatment.
